Yes frontloaded everything, and applied on the 14 May, got to enter by the 29 May 2009. Looks like we can have christmas there afterall, jsut wish we could sell house now otherwise will rent it out

Got visa today - no case officer straight to visa can't believe it 41/2 months, family sponsored visa applied in May

Ah bummer, so we still have a while to wait then, ours is lodge as 176 visa, agent said they were quicker, though we had enough points for 175 visa, regretting it now, just anxious as we have...

Hey there, good luck with everything. The way I would suggest is 175 visa under your wife's name, as her skill is on the shortage list, and as a back up get your family to sponsor you if you don't...

That sounds right as that is what we did and they are the ones sent through, though we haven't got a case officer yet so not sure if all is ok. Applied only on the 14 May so guess I still have a bit...

When we went to the doctor for our meds they just wanted the approximate year as they want to check if there were any complications, our meds were front loaded and are now finalised, but not sure if...

We are in the same boat, our application was submitted in May and the agent told us to get our meds and PCC done, which we have and she told us not to put house on Market yet until we have visa, but...

We were advised by our agent that the 176 visa class is a 6 to 9 month wait not 12 months, so I am banking on knowing something by Feb the latest but the sooner the better.

Yes I would be cautious too, though they seem to be granting some of them pretty quick. I think that even though you are on the MODL list of occupations some of more in demand than others.
