Re: Visa progress checking website down?

Ahh, it's only listed under the 489. That would be why there's a load of people who have all applied for the new 189 and 190 visas that are unable to find it then.

Smile Re: Visa progress checking website down?

Thanks , just tried this and I was able to log in. Where on earth did you find this link? It doesn't seem to be listed on the Immi site anywhere.

Re: Visa progress checking website down?

I've had this problem since lodging my visa on 1st September, haven't once been able to log in to check my status or upload documents.

My CO has just asked me to email documents directly instead....

Re: Jumeirah Village South

Have they driven on the Atlantis road at the end of the Palm recently? I last drove on it back in April and there was definitely clear signs of subsidence there then. Massive pot holes, raised bits,...

According to du's website they are supposed to be lowering broadband charges from August as well. They seem to be keeping it pretty quiet though and you have to put in a request to change to the new...

Re: World Cup on TV in UAE

Re: HSBC Withdrawals from HSBC plus account in UAE...?

I don't know the definitive answer but in the past my dealing with HSBC "The World's Local Bank..... apparently" is that their branches here are franchises and as such have no connection with HSBC in...

Re: customs and cigs

That's cos the UK customs seem to pick and choose what they count as an EU country. Basically anywhere the cigs and booze is much cheaper different rules apply. I went to Prague shortly after the...

Re: Important Information for Brits - changes to the passport service in the UAE

As everyone else has said if all of this is to be processed in one central place it should be in the UK, not Germany!

Also, if the aim of this is to reduce costs then why is Radio 2 News reporting...

Re: best place in Dubai for car tyres?

Try Dunlop Pro-Shop next to the Enoc by Jebel Ali Village 04-8824983. I went there a couple of weeks ago for 4 new tyres on the company Yaris. 275 AED each. Probably not the cheapest but they know...

Re: Connecting TV to PC - apart from long cable

I don't think the PS3 has VPN capabilities. You can get a router that supports VPN and then route all your network via the VPN. I have a Linksys running dd-wrt firmware via a PPTP connection. It...

Re: Connecting TV to PC - apart from long cable

Easiest solution. Make sure your PC and PS3 are networked, either cabled or wireless (might struggle with Full HD content if wireless though). Download and install PS3 Media Server (it's free) on...

Re: Do Tesco Internet Phones work in AbuDhabi

To find the cheapest way to call the UAE use this

http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/

Usually works out about 8 or 9p as mentioned above using companies such as PhoneCheap and the likes.
