Still on K1 in Texas

Advice please !
I arrived in the US on a Fiance K1 visa last September 2002, got married :) and completed and submitted the AOS paperwork at the end of that month.
I managed to get a 1 year EAD...

I can only share my experience ...
I visited my fiance 3 times whilst the K1 was being processed.
U.K. - DFW (Dallas)
I did not have any problems.

Just a point ...
Although you do have 90 days to get married once you arrive ...
I believe the 'advice' (not the rule) is to get married and submit your applications for AOS/EAD/Advance Parole...

Help! AOS/EAD worries in Dallas

Hi all,
Well I arrived in Dallas on a K1 in Sept (8th), got married :) on the 21st and submitted the applications for OAS and EAD on the 28th Sept.
The trouble is that I've not heard anything since...

Anywhere in the USA is fine but she can only leave the country with "Advance Parole".
You can only apply for this once your married so unless your INS office can do a "call in and get it"...

A fellow K1'er, got here on the 8th (from UK) and getting married on the 21st.
Anyway I applied for an ss no yesterday (Dallas), the guy there gave me a receipt, then said I'd get a card in...

I had a hand written note (on headed paper) from the nurse at my GP's.
You are entitled to this info by just asking,...
