Re: How to watch Formula 1 in the US?

^This.

Was also annoying for the World Cup, although the ESPN web interface was impressive. Still preferred the BBC coverage though. Same for F1, though I wish Jake had never left.

Re: How to watch Formula 1 in the US?

I don't like the NBC coverage much, so I use a UK DNS service, which allows me to then watch via iPlayer on my PC (connected to the TV) or iPad when at home. THe good thing about the DNS service is...

Re: Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

Aren't new members a good thing? Many people sign-up to a forum for a specific reason, but hopefully the other content they find will keep them coming back.

Anyway, back on topic, with the BBC...

Re: Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

Don't forget Spyder (that's Spyder with a Y, cuz he's hip and stuff) Harrison, and his perpetual countdown that seems to run all weekend long on Hits 1.

I need Radio 1 back, if only to hear actual...

Re: Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

Just an explanation would be nice. Aled (b/fast show producer) tweeted about contacting Sirius, implying, but not confirming, that the BBC had nothing to do with it.

I really hope Sirius reverses...

Re: Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

And that's the problem. I'm fairly sure I could rig up something on a PC at home to record the stream and timeshift it by 6 hours, so in-house playing (via Sonos) would be fine, but, it's the drive...

Re: Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

For those that care, you might want to try emailing radio 1 at [email protected] as well. It's weird there's no annoucement from the BBC about this, normally they're on top of that kind of...

Re: Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

I've emailed [email protected] too, for what it's worth. It's not the end of the world, but I really enjoyed having the same breakfast show I had in the UK during my drive to work here, plus...

Re: L1 Renewal - London Passport Return Time

Just some feedback on my visit to the US London Embassy today...

Arrived around 8.15 for a 9.00 appointment (L1 Renewal). There were maybe 30 people in front of me. Started to filter in around...

Re: L1 Renewal - London Passport Return Time

That's good to hear, I have my (extension) interview on Monday, and have allowed 10 working days for it's return, but, forgetting that there's 4 public holidays! I can move my flight if I have to,...

Re: L1B Extension granted, do I have to go back to the original Visa issuer?

Thanks...so if I flew at the end of Marhc, then they would stamp the I94 with March 2013 rather than May 2013, even though that would be the date in the new Visa?

Re: L1B Extension granted, do I have to go back to the original Visa issuer?

Thanks. The issue I have is that I will definately be leaving the US in November for a wedding/honeymoon in French Polynesia, but obviously there's no way I want to be taking care of the new Visa...

Question L1B Extension granted, do I have to go back to the original Visa issuer?

My L1B was due to expire on 31 May 2011, and has just been extended to May 2013, I have a copy of the I797A, together with the new I-94. I may or may not be travelling before 31 May 2011 (which is...

Re: UK Tax return - do I have to use a commerical tool?

All done - thanks for the sa2000 tip....clunkiest spreadsheet I've had to use in a long time, but as I didn't have to enter much, it was cheap, and it worked!

Re: UK Tax return - do I have to use a commerical tool?

I think so, £100, although it's fairly easy to get that backed off if there's a good reason.

Re: UK Tax return - do I have to use a commerical tool?

Thanks, will look later this evening...I'm not even sure I got a reminder for the end of October, but I may have done. Either way, it's all a bit silly given the situation!

UK Tax return - do I have to use a commerical tool?

I just got my reminder in the mail (dated Dec 18, arrived Jan 24!) that I have to file a return for the 2009/10 tax year. So, I dug out my login details, but I think the HMRC site is telling me I...

I'm not sure if this is 'new' news, but I searched a while ago on here, and on Next, and found nothing, but it now seems they ship to the US....

Re: Free Credit Score

Just to round this off, I just got a full credit score (via Wells Fargo, as I'm discussing a mortgage with them) of 755, so the data on CreditKarma is a fairly good indicator, at least, it was for me.

Re: My first US Tax return....

Excessively cheap? How dare you sir :-)

So far it seems relatively simple, it's my UK tax return for 2008 that I'm dreading. However, I hate this stuff, and you have a point, although if I'm...

so, a couple of basic questions, if I may :-)

I'm using TaxAct (the free version - I'm in TX, so no state tax) based on various recommendations on this forum. I've entered everything I can, and...
