Don't forget, the way the "rules" work, some of them may be sons and/or daughters and/or spouses of Expats so that could REALLY add up ;).

WOW,
... if they are receiving that volume of applications (300 PER DAY or 1500 per week! :ohmy: ) then I would say
getting any kind of result or action in less than 12 weeks is ALMOST a miracle.

Sorry, it is a renewal and I am not sure there is any difference?
my renewal is taking this long... I sent the old Passport in so I have nothing
but a memory and photocopy of the old one.... :(

Interesting note about Belize, but I understand residency is not granted with just a British passport, (please correct me if I am wrong)

Yes I have considered Belize as well, but I have never visited the place so I have no real frame of reference.
