Cost of living in America, factor in the kids!

I moved here 14 years ago with small kids.

Generally I would say that to the casual visitor the cost of living here looks great, they look around a supermarket and its cheaper, they fill the car...

Why waste that much money?

If you have a decent Computer, even some of the cheapest Computer TV tuner cards (WinTVGO <$50) will accept a PAL video signal from a PAL VCR or DVD and give you great pictures on your computer...
