Ok, well with permanent residency she should be able to apply directly to the service in Perth and if successful pursue whatever training schedule they follow. Hopefully it's not all university based...

I don't know much about the ambulance service in Perth but i did apply to them a couple of years ago (unsuccessfully!). It's St. John rather than govt. or health service run. Perth metro has it's own...

I think it's three years. There's a a throwaway line at the bottom of the permanent residency application form 47ES. 'In signing this declaration you agree to work for a minimum period of three years...

It took around a month or so to get my interview week organised but this was largely down to me organising all my annual leave in one go. Once i'd supplied dates, they confirmed by return....

ASNSW will provide very short term accommodation on arrival before taking up your post, in addition to a $5,000 relocation allowance which has to be repaid in full if you quit within one...

Good to hear your perspective. Yes, lifestyle is very important and that's where QAS really scores but for me at least, so is the job, which is why i'm struggling a little with my decision....
