I submitted at the Henderson, Auckland branch; just faxed them asking about the progress...gosh, I hope it won't take too long- 20 days??????????????

All my paperwork for a work permit (including offer of employment for a position on the short-term shortage skill list) has been submitted a week ago but so far, no word on whether it's been...

which should come first? Job lookout or work permit?

I really, really like it here and I was wondering which should come first- looking for a job or applying for a work permit??

I'm on a tourist visa and I'd like very much to try it out for a year....

question on duration of Visa

My mum's visitors visa was issued Jan 3 and as it says just across that date , "Must not arrive after March 3, 2008" (since it's just a two-month visa).

She was only able to book a flight however...

advice on getting a job in NZ

My sister who only recently was granted residency status has asked me to come over on a visitors permit and maybe try to look around to see if I wanted to try and work there.
