Guys and gals
Just thought i'd drop you a lline to say after 11 years of waiting our F4 I-130 Visa was approved today at the American Embassy in London.

7.45am arrived at Embassy, no queues...

Thanks for the website
My wife was born in Tripoli, Libya (the copy of the BC shows this in Italian and Arabic) But she has been a resident in the UK for over 25 years.

our priority date is June 98, and in December 2008 we started receiving paperwork from NVC. It was to nominate an agent in the US. We visited the US the following week and the petitioner...

The reason I ask is that we have just started receiving paperwork from NVC in regards to our i-130 application and I was curious about the process after the visa has been issued. I don't understand...

Yes... you have 6 months to use the visa



By "use the visa within 6 months", does that mean move within six months or just visit within 6 months.

My Wifes sister applied for an I-130 in July 1998. We are still waiting. We have heard nothing for the past 10 years, apart from updating our records, marriage, birth of daughter, address change...

We had recieved a reciept number from USCIS back in 1998, starting with LIN, but apart from that, no other numbers. (we had amended the records recently, informing them of our marriage and arrival...

I predicted the "current" date, by looking back over the past 3 years visa bulletins and working out that it takes the NVC approx 8 months to do a years worth of cases. It was a very rough estimate...
