I got caught by this one, its on a sliding scale upto 5 years. At the end of the day I didn't loose out. I got as much for the car as if I had taken it back to the UK even after paying the tax.

Its about time.
The problem is that in this crazy EU, member states want their cake and eat it. There should be a common policy towards taxation across all EU states. especially on motor vehicles....

As I said my pool project was quite expensive, Around 35,000 euros, but it was quite a construction as we had delivered 4 cement mixers of concrete which had to be pumped over the top of power lines....
