My husband had his AOS interview in April 04, and was told his case had to be pending a fingerprint-namecheck procedure. Why we had the interview in the first place is a mystery..? ...

Explain your situation nicely. Try to get an earlier interview date. Name check takes almost 6-8 months.... be patient!

My husband recevied his temporary green card last year in June. His passport reads "Processing for I-55L

No, my interview was on June 5th, 03 on my wife's birthday and i called her and told her that they sent my case for administrative review, she got really upset !!
Me and my wife kept calling...

Yes, it took me exactly six months.
That's my wife ID i am jsut using it cause i noticed that your husband had the same problem like i had.

Hi,

I had the same case in 2003, they sent my name for administrative review on June 5th from Islamabad Embassy and in December they replied me back and now I am here in US.

We applied for his K3/130 together in January 2003.
So it was about 1 1/2 years until the green card was in his hand.

AOS interview at Newark

Well, as you know our K3 was finally granted on the 9Th of December 2003 after 6 months awaiting security clearance.
We then filed the AOS package on January 30, and guess what?
We have an AOS...
