With the way rents are in Dubai and with hoe ridiculous they remain in Abu Dhabi I am considering commuting from JLT to Abu Dhabi. I can get a 2 bed in JLT for about 70k or a 3 bed for 90k...

I don't think it is enough. Muscat is just as expensive as Dubai and you need to remember they haven't had the crash in property prices that Dubai has.

AD rentals are still very high. Only things that have come down are the villas off-island that were at super ridiculous prices and are now at still ridiculous prices

Its actually 30 days and this is in the law. This doesn't stop employers from trying to give less as mine does.
