Further to cryptic comment - lady on another site paid her 2nd VAC last Friday and received notification that her visa has been granted this morning.

We have today received the request for our 2nd VAC payment.

Our timeline has been:
acknowledged 27 July 07
CO 13 June 08
AOS paid 7 July 08
2nd payment request 09 Sept.

We are using an agent, but I don't think she likes me very much as I always have to chase her for everything. It took her two weeks to email our CO to ask the question about the AOS.

It really seems to me that it is luck of the draw. Our AOS was completed on 3 July and we got an email from our CO last Thursday to say it was going to be another four weeks before they asked for...

27 July 07 - acknowledgement received
March 08 - frontloaded medicals and police checks
13 June 08 - Case Officer appeared, confirmed police checks and medicals OK and asking for...

We've got a CO!!!!! After whinging on here half an hour ago about the long wait, my phone rang and it was our agent to say our CO is requesting Assurance of Support to be arranged!!!!!!!!!!!!

In hindsight, I wish that we had gone for the temp visa first off, we could probably be there by now instead of still waiting for a CO (July 07).

Surely they can't take much longer to get through...

NOOOOOO!!!! I am tired of being patient. We applied in July 07 and I was hoping for a CO in March, but it now looks as if that isn't going to happen. At this rate, we are going to be so far down...
