I just did not expect to have the new to Canada butterflies and 'what have we done' feelings, we have lived in Canada for 10 years (in Feb), I know Canada, I'm a Canadian citizen FFS! :)

Yes, we have looked at a few places outside of Vernon, where houses are affordable, even as far as Falkland, we won't rule our moving out a bit, we don't need to be in the town.

I think the cats question is moot anyway, as my wife has already told me he will be an inside cat and I love your cat that fought the raccoons though, is his name 'Lucky'?

This is great and thanks for that, I will have a read now, but yes, it's these animals my wife said is the reason the outdoor cat will become an indoor cat (he'll hate it, although he'll be alive)!

Just thought I'd follow up on this, I printed the form (I also printed out the rules too), filled it out and presented the customs folks with everything on entry, gave them a copy of the death...

:) and yes, I did a search of houses on MLS last night, and there are less available in our price range, this now reminds me of when we originally looked to move to Canada, the UKĀ£ was worth ca$2.35...

I agree, our realtor said at least any viewings in this time period, are motivated buyers and I have no doubt that a big % of listed houses will drop off until the Spring.
