Just for information .. we live in massachusetts and registered our car and insured it using our UK licences ... we were told by both the RMV and the insurance company that we had 12 months as long...

So it seems as expensive over there again dependant on where you go .... although you seem to get offered more (perhaps un-necessary) stuff !!

I'm going to look into the dental school option that...

they call it white amalgam (spelling ???) over here definately not porcelin ones .. not sure we even have that .... my mouth looks like metal mickey !!!

ummm seen loads on Ebay.com so assumed they were easy to get on the shelfs too ... amazon.com is a great idea though much prefer that to ebay as you have recourse if the product is no good !!

I heard that target is pretty good for that sort of thing ..... and I've visited a couple of wal marts when we were there in may and thought the same as you !! good for basics but not furnishings...

I know what you mean - I think if you plan to live near any major city then you have to expect a commute !! we've just got to try to balance that against the other areas of importance !!!
