I am in IT with 9 years expierience etc, etc, and have applied for tons of positions, with no replies, i would seriously look at other avenues to go down if you come over!! Sorry to sound negative...

Yeah the cards will be with us in 8 weeks, we have had them sent to our agents address in BC. And the SIN cards take about 8 weeks too.

Charlottyb, nice to hear there are locals out there, the next step for us is to sell up and move out, our biggest hurdle though will be finding work as i am in IT and i dont see many opportunities...

We are going over to look at property just outside of Vancouver, places like Maple Ridge, Mission, Abbotsford etc, flying out on Wednesday for a few days and also to have our visa`s stamped.
