My understanding is that as long as you aren't in Uk more than 92 days/year, then there is no problem with owning property there, and you would be tax exempt.

Oh, sorry i forgot to say.
Other friends of friends that i know (S.A. farmers) are now living and farming in Mozambique.
They have only been out there just over a year now, but are very happy....

It will be a place to visit and enjoy. It is way too small to operate as a business.
One of the 3 partners will be living there and looking after things, so shouldn't have too many worries....

Thanks for the kind words.
My work rotation is 5 weeks on 5 weeks off, so am plannning to spend 2-3 weeks in S.A. and the remainder in U.K. (have to keep the tax man happy).
