so bad is the lodgings situation, that many have been reduced to prostitution to keep a roof over their heads... heh the students are the worst hit.....

live on a pittance- thats well said, you had better get used to the idea in ol france mateys- i did it for 8 years in all,the job sector dried up 10 years ago... jobs are as scarce as rocking horse...

yeah, i had some bird trying to rent my flat in paris-she worked in a bank , and was nearly dossing in the office, as the wages where too low to be able to pay for lodgings....

yup, unfortunatly, france is going through what the uk did in the 80's- but worse...
its sad to say , but france is knackered- 25 years of socialism etc, i chat with the frenchies all the time here-...

go for a visit, but, after being in the uk now for 4 months i see how easy it is- 2 lines on your wageslip--24 in france, just turn up and open a bank account...i would have loved to stay in france,...
