Hi, My parents sent off their application in december 08.. They are using an agent,, how long is it before they get the request for medicals AOS etc..

just seems to be taking ages..

I applied in August 2006 and was assigned case officer in December 2006. Finally got visa in July 07. Yes it can take a while. however somepeople get visa in a few months

Thanks for reply,, we were thinking that it would ten days for acknowledgement to be sent to DIMIA and then maybe two weeks to process.. all we can do is hope for quickk response...

Hi Trish,

Submitted 29th January.. ACS Letter arrived first week in May.. However yours should be quicker as your result letter will not have to leave Australia.

Hi,

Do not be too worried by this but my result letter took 12 weeks .. it seems that letters take 4 weeks to reach the UK from ACS. ACS will not provide result any other way..
