Re: I miss the cheese....

I think the beaches (and weather, when it's good) are the only thing I do prefer about Oz to England. Although I do appreciate the liking for the Brit seaside resorts (I was born in Southend!). I...

Re: Spanish Speakers

Hi there - there are lots of South American Spanish people in Oz. In Sydney there appear to be quite a lot of Chileans and Uruguayans. Liverpool Street in Sydney has a lot of Spanish restaurants and...

Re: What do you miss most about the UK?

In some of the shopping malls there are often discount book stalls which sell them much cheaper than the usual bookshops. I guess there isn't the same variety but I've bought a few books like this....

Re: What do you miss most about the UK?

Re: What do you miss most about the UK?

Where do I start? The shops (esp. Top Shop and Marks and Sparks food!), buying booze in the supermarkets, front loading washing machines, British comedy shows, decent crisps, pints of beer, trips to...

Re: Translate police clearance checks??

Hi, the translator would have to be NAATI accredited and it will be certified with their stamp. I work for a translation agency but you could use any reputable agency in the yellow pages. Just make...

Re: Bankstown and surrounding areas - Sydney

I live in Penshurst nr. Oatley and it's not bad and quite a bit cheaper than most places. It's quite near the water and there appears to be some good schools in the area, I think. It's only about 30...

Re: Homesick in Sydney

I guess at least he is looking into work over there. I'm really sick of Oz and don't particularly like the lifestyle. Sure there are some great beaches but the working hours are longer, less holiday...
