As previously posted a yaya (nurse) is very common in the PI. If they live in expect to pay £40 a month.

Schooling varies and depends on price my daughter's school OB Montessori charges 55K...

I dont know about work opportunities in Manila, but in Clark Economic Zone near Angeles city, north of Manila, there are definitely companies doing as you suggest.

Philippines is unsafe but only as unsafe as say London. I have lived abroad since 1985, and in the PI for 7 years. I my opinion following the usual travel safety advice and comon sense will keep...

You will not qualify for a FED, foreign earnings deduction, unless you register as a non-resident in UK with the HM Insp Taxes. And check to see if there is a double taxation agreement with Mexico....
