yes I am married and it is my husbands step son, but becasue he is not the natural parent he is not deemed to have a canadian parent unlike our daughter, so regardless of the fact that we pay taxes,...

Just checked on the Thames valley Site and it would appear that they will accept pasport but they need the original sent will not accept photocopies regardless of whether you are outside...

No I have no driving licence -don't and cannot drive (very sad I know) will have to look into this further regarding proff of address but sure I can find something, thank you

Many thanks I was based in Milton Keynes so I have found the Thames Valley form now and will be getting that done ASAP - will keep you posted and see how long it takes

uh oh just spoken to immigration about the SOWP and they have told me that regardless of whether I work my son is still not entitled to free education not even when I own my own home, have a mortgage...

yes it did say that I can apply for an open work permit which will allow me to work in the occupation and location of my choice - more forms i guess

lol didnt chose Thompson by choice, hubbie got told he had to manage a branch here for three years so here we are and yes will have to look into the Nickel side of things lol
