I think the "knocker uppers" in my neighborhood have indeed been replaced with blowers. Leaf blowers that is.

So you can either be knocked up in the morning...or blown it would seem.

well - I've been to a couple of places but the photos are always too large - in the US style rather than the UK specified 35mm x 45mm and the back of the paper has the manufacturer printed on it...
