Just to back up what HappyNZ has said as I am in a similar situation (I am assuming your husband's job offer isn't for 12 months or less).

Thanks for that Phil. TBH what you have said is what I have always understood to be the case with applying for PR. As you say the medical and police certificate is only valid for a certain amount...
