Thanks guys. The general concensus seems to be.. when it rains, it really does, but far less often on a daily basis than here.
That's one in the eye for the missus as it appears my opinion has won...

We got a real feel for the community as we stayed with Nickola and Andy in Okotoks in thier basement, it was perfect...

Unfortunately we have already booked and paid for the hotel, so to change now would be too costly. We do have a possibility of renting a basement from a family for a week...
