Anybody split their time between the UK and another country?

Looking into moving back to the UK from the US sometime next year but I'm curious - does anybody split their time between countries at all?

We are considering spending the school year in the UK...

At work with cars, my accent does help with some customers as it is a talking point and I insist on calling people "Sir" and "Madam" because I suspect they get a kick...
