Not always the case I'm afraid, many of our projects in my firm are very short time scales and we need someone who can hit the ground running. Our PMs rarely have the luxury of time or training.

Yep, the relocation package includes up to 60 days accommodation for us which they will arrange in an area we both agree on. We just got back from a weeks fact finding and think we want to be living...

Any word on what state they are in? Something your friend may need to think about is that some states are "at will" states which means they can terminate your employment pretty much at any time they...

The main problem I think you will have is that the airport is south east. The gated communities seem to be concentrated to the West. You might want to think about somewhere like Circle C or Steiner...

We've just spent a week in Austin checking the place out in anticipation of a job offer there.

I've also spent hours on the Austin City Forums page reading about a lot of the different areas.
