It's wrong. Time in New Zealand does not count for renewing Australian residence status, or for Australian citizenship.

JAJ, I wasn't asking about time in NZ adding to citizenship status:confused:...

Australian residency isnt affected by any move, Australia and NZ have a dualicity for work and living if you are either a Aus resident or have citizenship-this is according to Aus immigration and NZ...

We have Australian Resident status which was gained after 2 years on the Skilled Independent Regional visa scheme.

Fort McMurray sound a little like Karratha WA. A place in the middle of nowhere, built purposely to accomodate mining staff, where house prices are astronomical.
