You could try looking at Pharmac (www.pharmac.govt.nz) for common drugs here, otherwise you will be able to familiarise yourself once you get here. To be honest most of the drugs are the same...

accomodation in Christchurch

Hi folks
Can anybody recommend a reasonably priced motel/ self-catering accomodation in christchurch. Would like it to be central - we have two kids and wont have a car, and are just sight seeing...

Going off the subject slightly, but has anyone ever refused to pay school donations (or fees)? What are the consequences of refusing to pay?
I for one find it a bit of a pain cos we can't afford it!

Maybe the time of year is affecting property sales together with the market being more tenuous. Spring/early summer may be a better time to sell, just as it tends to be in the UK. Good luck anyway.
