I am currently serving here with RNZAF and yes they have halted the UK recruitment. Mind you if you are avionics trade they would still be interested so drop them your CV.

The UK and NZ tax people have an agreement where they exchange details on persons coming down under. You should have a 4 year tax exemption on your pension provided you dont claim any NZ benefits....

I know a FS Si Lamb RAF Regt left Jul 06 think he is up in Auckland. I work at present with quite a few rocks in Cyprus who have all had copies of recruitment dvd and awaiting next recruitment drive.

Thanks Tracy for the advice, all is welcome as we need to know whats ahead of us. Must admit not looking forward to the flight but will be worth it in the end. Will heed the advice on uniforms etc
