I am not sure if the 2 year rule always applies. Have a look at no 47 reply by Averina. She did not have to wait for her daughter to be PR for 2 years....

From looking at the time lines am I reading it correctly? Is it only taking most people between 3-6 months to get their visa?

I thought it was more like 12 months?

Almost forgot to say that they have to pass a balance of family test

This means that half or more of their children have to live in Australia
eg if they have 3 children and 2 live in Uk and 1...

Can any one tell me if you lose points when you turn 40.

We are going for a reccie in October and if all goes well will start the process for our visa. I have worked out we have got 125 points...

It is difficult to know whether you are going to end up being worse off (financially) or not taking out the same mortgage...

OH would be applying for the visa. He is the skilled one.

He is a toolmaker
he has worked for the same company (more or less- left 2 times for 1 year the first time and 6 weeks...
