Re: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs,Jobs, Catchy Title, Hey.

www.seek.co.nz is a good one. Some jobs in NZ have different job titles to the UK, so be quite broad in your searches.

Re: Talk me into Napier :)

Very picturesque, fab (uncrowded) beaches, property prices middle of the road, cheaper than parts of welly and auckland,

This was relatively easy as I'd already...

Now, I...

Re: Hawkes Bay Region

Sorry, I didn't mean to appear vague. Wairoa is cheap because there used to be quite a mongrel mob presence there, and although this is not as much as a problem as it used to be, the area is...

Re: Hawkes Bay Region

I'm going to be heading to Hawkes Bay too, but have insider info as my brother already lives there, in Havelock. I really like the area, (was there in Jan) although one area to steer clear of is...

Re: Shipping Quotations Thread

This is one company I looked at for shipping the landy, they provided quite a bit of info: http://www.excess-baggage.com/car_shipping.php
Don't know about the km conversion, don't think it's a big...

Re: Shipping Quotations Thread

Hiya, I don't think you need to take it apart, the shipping company I spoke to said the bike gets crated and then put in a container. I'd drain the tank, and then just cover absolutely everything in...

Re: British Food in NZ

The NZ cookbook bible is the Edmonds Cookbook. It lists absolutely everything, Anzac biscuits, lasagne, pavalova, etc etc. Been around for almost 100 years, almost as old as NZ itself!

Re: Anyone....?

Don't fret- depends on what type of visa you're going for. I think if you're applying for a standard 2 year work visa the cut off point is 28. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! :)

Re: Why are Kiwis the most travelled people on Earth?

Re: Emigration-why? You running away,or running to?

You know what? I've experienced more burglaries/drug related issues/gun crime etc etc etc in NZ than I have in the UK. But, at the end of the day, there are 4 million people in NZ, and 60 million in...
