Having heard a US PR enters Canada and exits without records or stamp, how can the CIC know whether the US PR has overstayed 6 months or not? Does anyone know the answer?

Yes. an AP must be obtained before leaving. Having heard a US PR enters Canada and exits without records or stamp, if it is true, how can the CIC know whether the US PR has overstayed 6 months or not?

You already passed the interview waiver at the time of your medicals requested. You will be requested to send in your passport next after you pay the landing fee.
