Hi all,

Been in Canada (Ontario) now for just over 5 yrs. Came over with 2 kiddies (who are now mini-Canadians at 7 and 10 yrs old).

Thanks Judy and bhalerao.

Basically what's happening is that we have our PR Visa's (expiry Oct '08) but my firm won a contract in Canada - so I'll actually be seconded with them for 2 years...

I have a Permanent Residency Visa - already in passport with accompanying papers - expires 10th Oct 2008 - have not yet landed in Canada.

Know what you mean, part of my plan is to go over, knuckle down in IT for a while, get setled in and then look for a career change.

We were gobsmacked to get our medical requests last week (Oct 1 AOR). They had told us we weren't being processed until "6-8 weeks" when I contacted...
