Unless your Engineering Qualification falls under the Washington / Sydney accord otherwise Engineers Australia is very particular about IELTS. Its to your advantage that you re-take the IELTS exam...

I'm affraid not ! You need to achieve 6 for all four categories otherwise IEAust or Engineers Australia would not assess your reports.

For me am region 5 on 136 MODL July 06 applicant. CO assigned mid Feb and requested PCC. Sent everything in within 3 days and like you all not a word and still waiting :mad:

Please make sure you scan all your docs in colour. 3 weeks ago I sent them scan copies of our PCC in B&W and asked to re-send them by email (scan with colour) or by mail.

Yes just make sure your employer pays for your airfares to Australia and also all medical cost. It is an obligation that your sponsor pays for your medical and travel expenses.

No I'm not Filipino. We have n't encountered any problem being on 457. If you're sponsored under 457 your employer is responsible for your medical insurance etc.
