it did and at that time it was not more than 5 years, so I thought I would try and see.....my mistake I suppose...but hey we all live and learn.

Cheers KT, I have been there more than 20 times since the offence, I have never been refused, so I hope that this will be a problem

I'll stick with the fried chicken on the next flight..... ;)

I was thinking more of the Sahara desert, maybe they will have me :o

In reality I can understand the fact that they don't want to admit people with criminal records, and I have paid in many ways...

There was no mention of the criminal rehabilitation and I was not notified of this. The 5 years have pased, the offence took place in 2001, hoever, having read the information from the CIC, it seems...

Cheers Jim for the reply, deliberating if it is worth chasing for Canada....it may end up a costing a lot of money........ don;t know if yuo would know anything about this, but would it be better...

after a couple of years of waiting we got the brown envelope this morning..... I am criminally inadmissable to Canada, as a result of a DD conviction in 2001.

Apparently this relates to paragraph...

We are pretty much in the same boat as a lot of the guys here - we try to not look on sites like this and decide what we are going to do - when we get to Canada....it is hard not to though ...
