when we moved over to NZ we brought over all our kitchen stuff except for meat, dairy and poultry products. All flour, herbs & spices I brought in with no problem whatsoever, even jars of Tartare...

We went back for a holiday in May and THOROUGHLY enjoyed it, although we were in the South West, BEST AREA. We are returning next year for good and it can't come fast enough.

As far as I am aware you have your resident's visa in your passport for life BUT you also have a "Returning Residents Visa" which lasts 2 years, so you can come and go for those two years....

We brought everything over and swapped plugs. We had to get the TV tuned to a different frequency and buy a new Sat dish. If you bring in new items unopened you will incur duty, so buy new, open them...
