This is still a tricky issue for those born in countries with long waiting periods for GC. I guess the best answer would be: start the GC process while on E3 at your own risk i.e. risk of losing E3...

Thanks for that info. However, there lies the problem for most people I think i.e. you have to remain out of the US for the 3rd and 4th stages of the GC process in order to process it...

Yes mate, you are correct. I had some discussions with Wakkas and he did get his GC. This is why I mentioned that if you were born in Aussie or certain countries which do NOT have waiting lists for...

Yes, published times are almost always the maximum time (3-4 months) they may take to process an application and they would probably never publish the minimum time. I applied just before christmas...
