Would you still be paid by your Australian firm ? if so then I would have thought a B1/B2 visa would suffice. You wouldn't actually be an employee of a US firm.

Is $100,000 - $110,000 a reasonable salary to live in Manhattan on and have a relatively comfortable lifestyle, single, no kids, out most nights etc. Or am I Brooklyn bound?

No I am not paying them.

No a QS is not a civil engineer, its is entirely different. In a lot of countrys a civil engineer will do the job of the QS if they don't have QSs. I can't explain any...
