Everywhere is quite near in Adelaide. Henley Beach is probably about a 20 minute drive. If you have a look on www.whereis.com.au that should give you a map of any suburb in Australia....

I believe, that if the SIR Visa was obtained by your Wife, and you and the kids are tagging along (as I did!), then it'll have to be your Wife that works for at least 12 months in a full time...

We have been in Adelaide on a SIR Visa for 9 months now and are just in the process of buying a house. FIRB can be applied for via www.firb.gov.au and is really simple - you have to find the house...
