We're Feb too - wish we had a co!! The guy was really helpful and seemed to imply that we'd be about 8 weeks til we get a co. Unfortunately, our current visa runs out in 3 weeks and we have to go...

Hi,

I just called the ASPC for info and was given this piece of advice:

Currently, MODL applications up to 18th Decemeber have been assigned Case Officers.

Hope that helps some of you guys....

$20'ph is more than ebough to survive. Although the house prices are going up, everything else is so cheap. We easily survive on a wage per week and save the other.

Exactly - we really are a lot happier - he works with a nice bunch of guys and it's all very relaxed and easy going. You notice that with the lifestyle here

Not entirely sure but you hear Aussie guys on the radio saying every day that thy can't take it aby more. It can be 40 degrees on the ground and 60 on a roof - it kills them

The conditions seem to be a bit better. In fact, the workshop my partner is in, they drink beer while they work (although he doesn't). We're just south of Perth which is where most of the work...

He does more hours than before. Not self employed, working for a firm in a workshop. Unless you go out to the mines, you won't get nearly the same money here.
