We have had the 410 visa for 11 years now. Can't comment on the possibility of renewing from UK but with regard to health insurance - we have been insured by Medibank for most of the time here but...

You will find that if she takes her occupational pension in the UK then she will be taxed on it in the UK, not Australia. This change came into effect on 1 July 2006. Income taken/earned in Australia...
