Yeah the MCSD is like the MCSE. The problem is that I can't find anywhere where it is written down that it is the equivalent to an AQF and my agent doesn't believe it.

Another point worth noting is that I can't salary package a car either even though my company does offer this. The reason being is that I'm only on a temporary visa. I can salary package a Laptops...

Just thought I would add that the laptop will also be GST free and you can depreciate it over time depending on the amount of use for work so you can end up paying very little for it.

As I understand it a 457 can require assessment but mine didn't.

Just as a matter of interest if you have to write two project reports it must be quite a task to write them without metioning any...

6 months on a 457 visa. Skills assessing authority would be the ACS as I work in IT.

Yep mine were issued in a month and two of those weeks were waiting for an appointment for the medicals. My visa was submitted online so paper based ones might take longer.
