However, if you have to travel in the summer, you are looking at some serious cash for 4 people, regardless.

Gotcha thanks - hence my initial question, I don't know too much about the positions or EB category exceptions that don't need LC.

Granted, anything EB1 will probably be fairly rosy after...

Exactly - this was why I was questioning the earlier post that someone made that the Sept bulleting looks less bleak. I'd say it looks "very bleak" for anyone, especially anyone that is applying now...

Correct to the Aug 17th application date.

Medicals have a 1 year validity, I believe, and Finger Prints / biometrics have 15 months validity - so you may need to re-do those, I guess that depends...

AOS applications are processed in FIFO order, assuming Priority Dates are current (this is according to USCIS rules, but they are "fuzzy" rules!). If PD retrogresses AFTER you've applied for AOS,...
