Yes I currently don't work. But when I do I have an occupation that I'm very well experienced and qualified to do. Not a trades person, so don't have a trade.

No I said I was unskilled as in not having a trade. Funny that with all your qualifications you're reading stuff that wasn't written! ;)
I don't have a trade but my occupation is on the list as a 40...

My work is on the skills list as a 40 point. I have qualifications to back it up as well. Not exactly useless mate, my degree probably out does whatever you have ;)

If I knew how to contact them I'd ask the question. Seems a tad strange that companies are allowed to get away with under hand deals. But my mate seems very happy with how things have turned out and...

Was no application involved it was a case of being invited along for a chat with one of the supervisors and a job offer came from that...

For the purpose of the job they have no experience and their UK trade is totally different from job offer in Aus, like an electrician trying to be classed as a footballer really. Was gotten by them...

Yes will try and find out more. But as said I do know someone who has gotten themselves sponsored for a visa in a trade they've never worked in before and as far as I know the job wasn't advertised...

I thought I'd read somewhere that people could get a sponsor to do an apprenticeship?
Also I know someone who is doing this, i.e. got a new job when on a WHV and getting sponsored. Not sure what...
