Re: Camera Shops - Wellington

I'd recommend Wellington Photographic Supplies - they've got a little shop just off Lambton Quay (Grey St I think) and a big warehouse place on Vivian St

Big stock, good prices and at the...

Re: Any IT peeps in Christchurch??

Just did a search on it.seek.co.nz for what's available in Christchurch and it listed 158 vacancies compared with 1311 in Wellington - which might give you some feel for the relative size of the...

Re: Huskies in NZ?

I've got a Kiwi friend who has raced them for years.

He's only got two dogs now, both of which are getting on a bit, so doesn't do much racing but I'm sure he'd be happy to answer questions or put...

Re: Bottled gas?

I'd happily recommend bottled gas.

Prices for LPG have gone up...

Re: Nissan Micra tyres

Not sure exactly what you mean by "any Nissan Micra tyres" - do you mean not the same make as what you already had on the car?

No tyre is specific to a particular car (unless we're...

Re: IT experts, please have a look at this.

It's a bit "horses for courses" isn't it?

Those are three very different roles and you'd have to decide which one fits the bill for you.

My opinion of the current NZ market is:
Linux...

Re: What did you do on arrival?

I'd booked a holiday flat for a few weeks - the family and the dogs weren't coming until 4 weeks later.

Re: Help with TV's please!

If they're quite new they should work - you'll just have to select the right country, 'cos if you use it with a conventional aerial on the UK setting you won't get any sound :frown: UK uses the...
