Far smoother process, no requirements for Labour certification etc, average transition...

I think the 8 weeks was me. That was from the date of filing, it took around a month to get all the paperwork together, medicals, Birth certificates etc. I'm a Brit, so I can't speak to differences...

Yes, they won't let him transit through the US without a vaild visa, VWP etc.

Try searching for Direct flights from elsewhere in Europe, e.g London to Frankfurt to Cancun

They have no reason to hold up the paperwork, did they give you a reason for their delayed response?

Especially as USCIS seem to be processing these requests fairly quickly at the moment.

You can extend the L1-B for an additional 2 years for a total of 5 years. But I think that puts paid to the "1 year in the previous 3 years" requirement for the L1-A, but I could be wrong.

Do a search on this forum for "Functional Manager" this is a relatively like known aspect of the L1-A visa, i.e. Manager doesn't have to mean manager of people, it can be managing a specific process...

Globally 600, in the US 250-300.

I have been their only L visa transferee, there are around 20 people that have been/are on H visas over the past 10 years. So the company has limited experience...

Both my Lawyer and I were stunned at the timescale too as we had been anticipating 12-18 months.

Submission was done 1/26/09, Biometrics 2/25/09 and the Green Card was approved 3/23/09. I received...

That's what I did,

L1-B transferred to L1-A (took around 3 months), L1-A converted to Green Card (2 months)

I received nothing about EAD, so I seemed to skip over that straight to LPR approval :D Not that I care now. I'm just waiting for that little plastic card to arrive :D

yes we applied for EAD and AP, in fact I even checked on Friday as to the statuses on the website and saw no change.

We used the Texas Service center, biometrics were done at the Boston ASC.
