Re: options for marrying a usc?

sigh.. I'm an American trying to get my British husband legally into the U.S. There's NO way I want to see that get ruined by people who want to take short-cuts and do things illegally -- and ruin...

Re: options for marrying a usc?

Great comment!

That's my BIL now, he's illegal & both him and his "lover" are broke. He just got her pregnant too! Totally irresponsible and I'm sick of hearing how much in love they are. I bet he...

My BIL is illegal in the U.S., stayed past his 90 days, with the intent to marry...

Now that I'm married, having a baby,...

Re: Extend Visitor Visa

I'm surprised...

And doesn't it look bad that he entered the country with the intent to marry and overstayed under the WVP?

He will have to fly back for his divorce because his ex-wife won't...

Re: Extend Visitor Visa

Yeah but he can't. He's married here in the UK and it'll take 8-12 months for a divorce.

The longer he remains in the U.S. illegally (his 90 day WVP is over), the more trouble he'll get into with...

Re: Extend Visitor Visa

Your brother should not stay beyond the 90 days. He should go back home and try to maybe look for a work visa opportunity or something.

If he tries to get a "Visitor Visa" from the Embassy he must...

Re: I-130 approved - what next?

John,

Congrats on getting approved for DCF!

London has been rejecting a lot of others applications due to their "Limited to Remain Stamp" versus "Indefinite Leave to Remain Stamp".

I only...

Re: Spousal Visa filing in UK - Problem

Sounds like a great idea! I phoned them this morning & the person I spoke with says: "As long as I do not live in the U.S., I am able to apply". After I explained my LLR stamp.

Something tells me...

Re: Spousal Visa filing in UK - Problem

We would love to just do the DCF with London. Guess it won't hurt to try if they refund the money. That's good to know.

Thanks,

Re: Spousal Visa filing in UK - Problem

If I file with London & they decide I'm not eligible, they will probably keep my $185. It's a lot of money to gamble with.

It may not take 1 year if the London Embassy takes over the rest of the...
