Ask the private owner for a statement, it doesn't have to be notarized.
You can also include private e-mails, letters, birthday cards.

Yes, I had a lot of evidence:
pictures
private e-mails, cards, letters, web site printouts
statements from friends
all kinds of bills
leases
anything with both names on it

As I understand it is not that easy to convince the immigration officer about a good faith marriage.
