Hi

I have to say that financially its going to cost us quite a lot to get there what with medicals,airfares,shipping costs,accomodation and car hire when you first arrive.

We won't have that...

As there seem to be quite a few UK prison officers posting now I thought i'd see if there were any more lurking and try to get an idea of how many are actually going and also where are you going? :) ...

Can't beleive kamal was evicted...i think its rigged!!!!...we are definatley going to ask for a different prison if paul gets job...watch this space!!

Oooh we must have psoted at the same time!!!..Hubby was told today at his interview that otago was only palce with vacancies..he was one of the last ones to be interviewed...although if they are...

I'm not sure that Duedin is for us really...too far south.If Hubby is offered job then i think he will try and get a different prison but I don't hold out too much hope...we'll just have to...

Thanks for that......just found out that dunedin prison will close next year..and he will have to go to the new otago prison near milton..any idea what that is like?...or nay nice towns around...

Hubby has had job interview for position of corrections officer and has been told that the job will be at Dunedin prison....can anyone tell me what areas would be good for a family within 30...

There are a few uk prison officers who have posted on this site..my hubby is one and his his interview on friday :scared: !!

Don't think there are any NZ correctional officers here...

paul asked if there was a pension scheme...obviously not!!!..what the shift patterns were..in particular how many weekends were worked..paul only works 1 in 3 now and whether there would be any...

what sort of timescale have they given you?..I have family in auckland but knew that wasn't an option as we would get more points for job offer outside auckland...Paul is getting a tad fed up...

Well I don't know what to say!!!!...our choice was Hawkes Bay too and Paul was definately told that there were vacancies everywhere!!!!

I'm not sure that i like what's going on with the...
